SAFE TRAVEL WITH GOBI MOUNTAIN LAKE

THE FUTURE OF TRAVELING: A RESPONSIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY MONGOLIA SAFELY

Following the many months of uncertainty and travels being stopped, we are happy to announce that Mongolia is slowly reopening its border, and accepting visitors from all around the globe again.
Of course, it is our responsibility to welcome you in a safe manner, and ensure that everyone will remain so throughout the entire trip, wether you will stay in cities or to the deep remote locations we promote.

As new information emerge around the pandemic, we are making sure we stay up to date for the latest safety guidelines and international travel standards required for our participants to enjoy their adventure to Mongolia.
We regrouped here all the necessary information you need to keep in touch with our practices and the local authorities regulations.

Thinking about experiencing Mongolia with us? Here are the main points to remember in order to prepare yourself for a successful journey. To stay safe no matter what, we will provide the best environment possible. We also will kindly require our guests to participate in the process.

AS PER THE MONGOLIAN REGULATIONS IN PLACE, WE WILL ASK THE FOLLOWING:

Proof of vaccination (2 doses) against COVID-19 for any person age 12 and above. Taken from an official vaccination card (a photo on a phone will do) or an electronic version of it, including the name(s), date(s), and proof doses were administered at the very least 14 days prior to your arrival in Mongolia.

For those recovered from COVID-19, would be asked a proof of recovery. Please keep in mind that those previously infected, can always test positive up to 3 months after recovery.

A verifiable negative COVID-19 test result (paper or electronic version) using viral test PCR or antigen technology.

AS FOR OUR AGENCY IN MONGOLIA:

We can provide you masks, although we would recommend for you to bring yours (both for your own comfort and habits or style).

Please bring your own hand sanitizer/alcohol wipes. Also, we shall provide you with these at all times, but it is always a good thing to prepare your own accessories.

We shall ask you to review and acknowledge our health information and guidelines before any trip departure. This ensures everyone understand the basic rules, and the general good practices to adopt during any journey. We will ask you in this document to confirm you have not been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 3 weeks time, or experience symptoms as such:

-Temperature of 38 C/100.4 F or above
-Cough
-Loss of taste or smell
-Breathing difficulties (other than from known pre-existing condition)
-Chills
-Muscle pain (unrelated to a specific activity or incident)
-Sore throat
-Diarrhea
-Vomiting or nausea

Aside from enjoying your trip like we all used to have until 2020, we will ensure your safety with those measures:

-We will make a point in sanitizing the common space daily: in your vehicle, as well as in our camps.
- Masks must be worn in enclosed spaces by our team members and our guests (this includes our vehicles).
-As much as possible, at any given point in time, our personnel will carry disinfectants and alcohol spray/gel, ready to be used If you need.
-All guests will be reminded to wash their hands properly and regularly.
-The equipment we use before and after each trip will be sanitized. The gear we provide you should remain your own exclusive use for the entire duration of the trip.
-Briefings will take place before each trip departs, but also before the activities start. We will kindly remind the local security protocols.
-Our food service is handled by professionals. Our own cooks are part of your journey for better food safety controls, hygiene and quality of service and overall gourmet meals throughout the trip.
-You shall enjoy your meals at your own separate table, or private dining areas when possible. We shall eat outside with access to fresh air almost the entire time.

For those who cannot be vaccinated due to medical or religious exemptions, we would like to kindly provide a negative COVID-19 test result (from an official paper document or an electronic version). Testing must be performed by an approved laboratory using a viral test that is recognized by international standards - types NAAT/PCR or antigen. On those documents, we need to see your name, the date when it was performed. Ideally, this test is indicating a date no longer than 72 hours before arrival in Mongolia.

For children (12 or under) the same negative test as seen above shall be provided.

If you have been infected and recovered from COVID-19 within the last 6 months, you can simply provide this information with the previous positive test, a letter from your medical practitioner clearing you for travel purpose. Again, it is ideal to show on those documents your name, the date of the test and recovery time.

You are also reminded that following the Mongolian State guidelines for COVID-19 prevention, we should wear a face-covering mask, covering both your nose and mouth when physical distancing is not possible. It is important for us to keep up with the regulations in place, to give you advices during your journey.

Your temperature may be taken for screening purposes, especially in public spaces.

The above information applies only if you have no current COVID-19 symptoms prior to the start of your trip. If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms while you’re on a trip, you will need to seek medical advice immediately and may require a negative test to continue your trip.

As per your Travel Agreement, travel insurance is mandatory for all guests travelling internationally.
